AlburyCity are conducting an Expression of Interest process to elect two new community representatives to the Albury Aquatics Facilities Advisory Committee.
The Committee was established to provide AlburyCity feedback into strategic planning and upgrades of the Albury and Lavington Swim Centres as well as feedback relating to investigations into the feasibility of a regional aquatic facility. Further details on the Committee and its functions are detailed in the Terms of Reference document.
The Terms of Reference state that the community representatives will be selected on the following criteria:
- is able to represent the views of others;
- has sufficient time to read documents and attend meetings;
- is not an employee of AlburyCity Council;
- geographic representation;
- representation of different gender, age and cultural background.
Given that the Ovens & Murray Swimming and Water Polo Associations have representation on the Committee, AlburyCity are seeking community representatives who can represent the wider community to provide a balanced representation.
