Project overview
Located in Central Albury on David Street, right across from the revamped Albury Skate Park, Billson Park is a beloved community hub. Home to the Albury Cricket Club, this park boasts amenities from the 1980s, including a play space, car parking, and a community garden.
Billson Park is buzzing with activity from local groups and the Albury Cricket Club. We're excited to develop a master plan that will shape the park’s future and meet the recreational needs of our community. After the master plan is endorsed, we'll move forward with detailed designs and construction documentation, focusing on high-priority projects like a new play space and sports pavilion with public toilets.
Currently, the park’s sports building is a single-storey structure with changerooms, public toilets, a community room, storage sheds, and a temporary storage container. These facilities no longer meet modern sporting standards and are nearing the end of their useful life. The play space also needs an upgrade to align with "Everyone Can Play" guidelines.
The community garden is popular but has potential for even better use of the space to enhance the Billson Park experience.
We're working closely with key stakeholders to develop a master plan that addresses these issues and guides future improvements.
Stay tuned for updates as we shape the future of Billson Park together!

- increase community ties through improvements to the existing community gardens;
- provide adequate parking and linkages to adjoining facilities and connections to broader pedestrian and cycle networks;
