We reached out to our community to help us review and develop the draft Engaging Albury Strategy and Draft Implementation Plan. Listening to the information gathered through our different engagement approaches has enabled us to develop a five-year strategy that demonstrates a commitment to community engagement and telling our AlburyCity story. From the community feedback, we created five new principles for engagement that will underpin our engagement and decision-making.

1. We seek, we listen to, and we value community feedback.

2. Our communication delivery is meaningful, accessible, clear, and transparent.

3. Our communication is planned and responsive to community needs.

4. Our interactions are two-way with opportunity for input into decision-making.

5. Our engagement processes are inclusive, accessible, and equitable.

The draft strategy shows how we will respond to our community feedback by delivering timely and relevant information. We will listen as well as inform, think about our audiences and continue to keep people informed, provide consistent messaging to reinforce what we stand for, demonstrate value for money spending and provide opportunities for community input into decision-making.
