AlburyCity and Our Community have taken significant action toward improving environmental sustainability at a local and national level. These initiatives include energy efficiency, renewable efficiency, resource management, circular economy, and active transport.
Building on our existing work and advocacy, AlburyCity aims to take a more systemic approach to addressing its existing and emerging environmental challenges.
The DRAFT Environment Sustainability Framework and Action Plan identifies six themes that focus AlburyCity on being a leading sustainable organisation, empowering Our Community to reduce their carbon emissions, delivering a sustainable transport network, planning a sustainable city, innovating our resource use and management, and building a water sensitive city.
The implementation of the Framework will require engagement from Our Community to make positive changes that support sustainable growth of our city.
We are keen to hear your thoughts below.
