Our Economic Development team at AlburyCity are excited to be working with REMPLAN to draft our Albury Economic Development Strategy 2023-2027.

The Strategy will be one of our lead strategic documents that will help us to ensure we continue to be a leading, vibrant, innovative and connected city, supporting our community's vision for Towards Albury 2050.

The strategy will help guide and shape the direction and focus in the Economic Development space for the next four years.

We invite local businesses, community organisations, industry leaders, government representatives and education providers to participate.

Industry Think Tank

As part of the stakeholder engagement process, we are hosting an Industry Think Tank. We’re looking for a representative from our top 8 employing sectors to come along and be a key contributor to the strategy development process. Representatives of the Industry Think Tank will provide input on the overall strategy as well as what is important in your sector, what challenges you are facing, highlight new opportunities, and how we can best plan to support your sector within our strategy.

If you are interested and possess the below qualities, we would love to hear from you!

  • Do you have skills, knowledge and experience in a key industry sector within our community?
  • Are you interested in Economic Development and keen to have a say in how the Economic Development Strategy is delivered?
  • Are you interested in networking and meeting other industry representatives?

If this sounds like you, please reach out to us via the below link to submit your EOI.

Industry Think Tank participants will be selected on a discretionary basis to represent a cross-section of our economy and based on the skills, knowledge and experience that individual members can contribute.

What is expected of Industry Think Tank participants?

Industry Think Tank participants are considered our Economic Development Strategy project champions. They’ll participate in three workshops over the next six months to be briefed on the project, provide input into the stakeholder engagement plan, share engagement opportunities with their network and test ideas raised. We expect the time commitment to be around 10 to 15 hours over a six-month period.

EOIs for the Industry Think Tank close Monday 7 November at 5pm. You will be notified of the outcome within five working days.

If you don’t think you’re best placed to represent your industry sector but would still like to be involved and have your say, you can participate in the consultancy process via the general registration form on this page.
