Overview

Lake Hume Reserves extends from Lake Hume Tourist Park Beach to the south, Apex Park to the north to Bethanga Bridge. The area features a range of recreational, leisure, and tourism activities. The 40ha site is used extensively for swimming, water skiing, fishing, walking, and picnicking, making use of public barbeques and shelters. Boat ramps at either end of the area providing accessibility for fishing and ski boats as well as jet skis to Lake Hume.

An initial Have Your Say process was conducted in 2018 seeking ideas for the development of a more detailed master plan for the site. This Draft Lake Hume Reserves Master Plan has been developed which includes the information from this consultation and now forms part of this consultation process.

* Upgrade public amenities, including beach access, toilets, bbq areas and furniture at Lake Hume Reserves

* Wagirra Trail section from Lake Hume Village Boat Ramp Car Park to Bethanga Bridge

* Revetment work to address significant erosion at the Lake Hume Village Boat Ramp Car Park

* Investigate the feasibility in constructing a pedestrian/cycle path across Bethanga Bridge to link into the Victorian trail network

* Commence design work for the boat trailer and car park at Apex Park
